Dodgers Chase Milestone Numbers In 2022, Led Again by Kershaw

Since 1979, Don Sutton has been the Dodgers’ King of Ks. That season, Sutton passed Hall of Famer Don Drysdale for the Dodgers’ career strikeout mark

Forty-three years later, Clayton Kershaw is on the verge of taking the crown

Kershaw enters the 2022 season 26 strikeouts behind Sutton’s Dodger career strikeout record of 2,696. It’s one of a handful of milestones in reach for Dodger players in 2022

Kershaw is also within reach of another milestone — 200 career wins. He enters 2022 with 185 career wins. If he is able to reach the 200-win mark this season, he’ll become the 11th pitcher all time to win 200 games and strike out at least 2,500 batters with the same team

Kershaw ranks fourth all time in Dodger franchise history in wins and is five wins from tying Hall of Famer Dazzy Vance (190) for third all time. Sutton owns the all-time Dodger wins record with 233

Another longtime Dodger, Justin Turner, figures to hit some big round numbers this season

Turner has 958 hits, 199 doubles, 143 home runs, 493 RBI and 591 runs scored as a Dodger. Turner would become the 10th Dodger all time with 1,000 hits, 200 doubles, 150 home runs, 500 RBI and 600 runs scored. The last player to join the club was Andre Ethier

Turner ranks 13th on the Los Angeles Dodgers’ all-time home run list. He could climb into the top 10 this season. Willie Davis ranks 10th with 154. Turner is looking to become the eighth LA Dodger all time with 200 doubles
